Well the resin is curing with plenty of peelply, in a couple of days we'll know whether it has the structural integrity to be called a boat. I think its kay, but the laying up and resining always felt rushed. Time to shut the shed door and walk away for a couple of days.

Well the resin is curing with plenty of peelply, in a couple of days we'll know whether it has the structural integrity to be called a boat. I think its kay, but the laying up and resining always felt rushed. Time to shut the shed door and walk away for a couple of days.

Could you tell us what lay-up was used?
What weight cloth? How many layers etc? What kind of carbon cloth - twill? normal? thick weave?
Did you decide to vacuum?
Used 190gsm carbon, laid at 45 degrees from the stern to 150mm fwd of the mast step then at 90 degrees to the bow. 1 layer of cloth with peelply over the top (as seen in the pic). Once this is fully cured we will pop the boat off the mould and repeat the same layup on the inside. The decision was made not to vacuum as the target weight should be achievable.
